You will probably have seen in the news this week proposals from the International Energy Agency (IEA) to ban sales of gas boilers from 2025. For consumers, it's an eye-catching headline but is actually just one of 400 proposals within the report, which you can read more about here.

So why the focus on household heating? In the UK, home heating with gas or oil is responsible for around 20% of all CO2 emissions, so switching to low carbon heating makes a big impact.
