But with changes to the Energy Price Guarantee likely to mean energy bills for an average household rising 20% to £3,000 per year from April 2023, now's a good time to re-think your energy use.

Taking simple energy-saving actions can avoid wasting energy. With wasted energy making up around 30% of the average bill, it pays to do an energy audit of your home.

Start with the simple checklist below that will improve your household's efficiency as we move towards Spring.

1. Fine tune your heating

An average UK home uses 80% of its gas for heating. That's over £1,000 a year. So it's worth taking a few minutes to make sure everything is set up properly to maximise comfort and minimise bills.
